TAKE TIME TO BREATHE – A short documentary about stress.
We all stress and we all have different reasons that cause stress. What can we do to de-stress?
Fewer UK adults feel that they are coping well with the stress of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to MentalHealth.Org.Uk, in April 2020, 73% said they were coping well but in February 2021, only 64% said they were coping well.
This reduction has stimulated us to investigate what some causes of stress can be, focusing this documentary in the heart of the Wirral (the hometown of director Favour Adediran) during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Collaborating with director Favour Adediran on his first solo documentary, myself and the Freshrb team wanted to take this project as an opportunity to champion what local community groups and charities are doing to support the individuals struggling with stress.
However, Take Time To Breathe is only a snapshot and we want to use this short documentary to generate conversation about who in your local community supports people going through stress in life.

Building Bridges CIC is a community & well being centre which is open to everyone in the Wirral community. Their Community Hub and Social Supermarket is there for anyone who is on low income. Providing the community with groceries, helping to make their money go further offering some relief from the financial stresses those on low income face.
